Nebraska-Based Wealth Manager Joins Carson Network

Nebraska-based Oakeson Steiner Wealth & Retirement is joining the Carson Group, tapping into the latter’s network of 150 advisory firms.

Led by president and wealth advisor, Josh Yost, Oakeson Steiner manages $1.2 billion in client assets and has a team of 13 wealth advisors and client services staff. It was founded in 1994 by Doug Oakeson and Jack Steiner.

Oakeson Steiner sought a partner that could offer a robust technology platform, marketing and compliance support. Carson offers back-office support in marketing, operations, technology, and other services as part of its business model.

Maintaining sole ownership, Yost and his team will continue to lead the day-to-day operations of the firm.

Carson Group, which was founded in 1993, manages $31 billion in assets. Like Oakeson Steiner, its roots are in Nebraska, and it is headquartered in Omaha. 

In September, Carson partnered with FAI Wealth Management, an advisory firm based in Columbia, Maryland. In April, it partnered with in an equity deal with Overland Park-based Integrated Wealth.
